The Moon is in her final stages of waning as it reaches its point of newness this Friday. As a result, we find ourselves turning more and more inward as the weekend approaches. Naturally we are tuning into a more meditative state in order to dig down, reflect, and figure out what we would like to transform, let go of, and manifest. The time to plant the seeds is this Friday, so use the first few days of the week to do the soul-searching needed to figure out what steps you want to take next.
Monday is Columbus Day, also Indigenous Peoples’ Day. In Canada, it is Thanksgiving Day. Regardless of what you are celebrating (or not), it is a good day to abstain from work! The Moon is void-of-course from 10:30am onward EST (7:30am – 10pm PST) so as a result it is simply not a good time to make any plans or major decisions. It is not a good idea to hold strategy meetings with co-workers. It is a much better time to tackle routine tasks, sleep in, and do nothing of any great significance at all.
Tuesday is a great day to meditate. Why? Because Mercury, the planet of the mind, is standing still. It has been slowing down in its orbit over the past few days and now it has come to a stop. As a result, our mind seems to come to a stop as well. This is a good opportunity to go deep into shuniya as our brain comes to a complete standstill. Looking for something to help get you into that meditative mood? Consider the album, “Meditate & Elevate”, which is artfully crafted to do just that. The band, aptly named, “Shuniya”, offers such tracks as “Sat Narayan”, “Ajai Alai” and the healing mantra, “Ra Ma Da Sa” to help put you in that state of pure stillness and absolute bliss.
For the next three weeks, note that Mercury will be retrograde, meaning that he will appear to be moving backward in his orbit. As a result, we feel like our own minds are moving backward as well. As a result, it is not a good time to sign any contracts or purchase anything with electrical or mechanical parts. Communication is off, and travel-related mishaps are more common than usual. Instead of trying to push forward with projects, it is instead a time to reflect and review on the past. Revisit old relationships. Address any loose ends that need to be tied up.
Take care of details on Wednesday. Be conscious of how you are living on a day-to-day basis. It may be time to revamp your daily schedule. Also be mindful of your self-talk. Perhaps you are being too critical of yourself. Watch out for negative internal monologues. Give yourself a break. Say something nice for a change. Also take note that at 6:47pm EST (3:47pm PST), the Moon goes void-of-course. After this time, our intuition is off. We have lost our sense of direction. Make no major plans or decisions for the remainder of the day.
Thursday is a good day for partnership. How about a night out – er – a romantic take out dinner at home? Do something special for the one your love. Surprise him or her with a bouquet of flowers. Make a card expressing your feelings for the partnership you have together.
Friday is the exact day of the New Moon in Libra. This is our time to bring cycles to a close and open the door for new cycles to begin. It’s a good time to start a forty-day meditation. Ask yourself what you would like to invite in during this next lunar cycle. What do you need to let go of in order to make room for that which you would like to manifest? Make your intentions known to the universe. Listen to Ajeet’s Shadow Moon Guided Meditation and clear your heart and mind.
Over the weekend, we will experience intense emotions and partly teary eyes. Let the passionate feelings flow. Don’t hold back. Get to the core of difficult issues instead of backing away from them. Have those difficult conversations about taboo subjects. See things through to the finish. This is your opportunity to clean house.
