The Moon is growing. It is a time to stay on track with the goals that we set for ourselves at the time of the New Moon this past Friday. Meanwhile, as the Moon grows bigger and stays up later in the sky each night, we feel our emotional energy returning. It is an appropriate time to tackle physically challenging yoga sets as opposed to the more relaxing, meditative ones.
Meanwhile, remember that Mercury is retrograde and will continue to be until November 3. As a result, remember that it is not a good idea to sign contracts or buy anything with electrical or mechanical parts. Travel mishaps are more common and communication in general is out of whack. Allow yourself extra time to get places and be sure to double check phone numbers and email addresses.
The week kicks off with the Moon in optimistic Sagittarius all day on Monday. This is a time to look at the bright side. Be hopeful. Do your best to uplift others. Our mind naturally turns toward subjects such as philosophy, religion and higher learning. You may be curious about a new path or way of life. Go ahead and pick up a book on a spiritual path that piques your interest.
Continue to indulge your curiosity on Tuesday. There is an urge to travel. Even if you can’t do so physically, consider doing so mentally. Take a trip via a good book or magazine. Eat exotic food tonight. Try take out from a restaurant you’ve never tried before.
Wednesday is the day to put your nose to the grindstone and get to work. We can be extremely productive on this day. Stay grounded and be efficient. Say no to certain people and obligations so that you can stay focused on the goals that are most important to you at this time.
The big news on Thursday is the Sun’s entrance into Scorpio. Note that this shift sets the tone for the next four weeks. During this period as the Sun transits this intense water sign, emotions rule the roost. Taboo subjects come to the forefront. This is the time to face the skeletons in the closet that have been packed away for months or even years. Get to the core of the difficulty instead of just dealing with surface issues.
The square between the Sun and the Moon on Friday can make for a bit of a stressful day. There is tension between the masculine and feminine polarity that might be hard to resolve. There is manipulation and emotion on one side, while the other side may appear distant and crave freedom. Both sides are extremely stubborn. The gridlock may be difficult to resolve.
Consider mantra as a way to help soothe the situation. The album, “Force of Life” by Mirabai Ceiba can be a healing balm to the soul during this time. The tracks, “Pavan Guru” and “Prithvi Hai” are uplifting and hypnotizing. At the same time, the Russian translations add an unexpected lyrical twist while also bringing deeper meaning for Russian speakers.
Be expressive on Saturday. Let your unique spirit shine. There is a rebel within you that wants to come out and play. Give voice to this part of you. Go ahead and wear a bizarre outfit that turns people’s heads. Be outside of the box. Push the envelope. Challenge the “norm”. Take note that at 6pm EST (3pm PST), the Moon goes void-of-course. For the rest of the day, our intuition and sense of direction are off. Make no major decisions or plans during this time.
The Moon doesn’t come back on track until 5:18pm EST (2:18pm PST) on Sunday. From this point on, we have our wits about us back again. Use the rest of the day to connect with those you love. It is a good time to dance, play music, and dive into artistic or creative projects. It is also a good time to connect to the water element. Balance the intense emotions that are getting stirred up at this time. Take a long walk by the ocean, around a lake or next to a rushing river. Enjoy a scented bubble bath tonight.
